MR. GARY ZUCKER: My name is Gary Zucker and I'm a founding member of Zucker and Bennett. I attended college at Syracuse University where I obtained a degree in political science. Afterwards, I attended Brooklyn Law School, and after graduating from law school I became an Assistant District Attorney in the Kings County District Attorney's office in Brooklyn, New York.

I stayed in the District Attorney's office for several years, during which time I tried a number of felony cases. And I then left the District Attorney's office to join a small firm where I began trying civil cases, primarily negligence and medical malpractice cases and soon found that the skills I developed as a prosecutor were equally applicable in the trial of civil cases.

I left that firm in April of 1984 to form my own firm here in downtown Brooklyn, where I've remained ever since. My daughter, Sandy Bennett, has joined me and our practice consists of handling primarily accident cases and medical malpractice cases. I find this to be a very rewarding area of law, certainly there are areas of law that are more lucrative, but I don’t believe there's any area of law that's more rewarding.

At the end of the day, there's nothing better then the hug that you receive from the client knowing that you've assisted them in their time of need. There's no amount of money that can substitute for that.
